 Burundi (2009)
We as Grace Ministry joined this worldwide convocation in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem, the city of the Great King. We stand on the side of the people of God ( Israel) and lift this nation before the throne of Grace according to the scriptures in psalm 122:6 “ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper who love you”
Pastor Philippe Selemani taught a powerful message that God commanded us to pray for His city and then there is a promise “may the prosper who love you” . He also shared that Israel has experienced many deportations during the kings in the Old Testament and recently when Adolph Hitler killed over six million of Jews but if it was not God to protect them they no longer exist one nation today called Israel on geographic map… so that we as Christians we must stand on the side of Israel to pray for it peace because it will be in Jerusalem where our King of kings and Lord of lords will reign for one thousand years.
In our church every first Sunday of October we invite as many churches and ministries as possible to pray together for the peace of Jerusalem as you can see on pictures.

Many pastors were mobilized from the Kikwit Bandundu, of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Africa, pledging their participation on Oct. 3rd for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. At the service, where these pastors signed their names in support of this global prayer movement for Jerusalem and her people, Bandundu believers worshipped and prayed with the Israeli Flag as their backdrop.
Pastor Bulakila began the day of October 3rd by preaching on the radio Malamu Sango from 8 AM until 9 AM, educating all pastors and leaders in the area about the global Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem.Because of preparations for weeks in advance, churches and leaders understood the vision and there was strong involvement in the entire province of Bandundu. The photos show that Pastor Bulakila was able to travel to several churches that day and personally lead the services as they prayed for Jerusalem, Israel. This was possible through the generosity of Reverend Luswa, who loaned Pastor Bulakila a motorcycle and driver to travel to all of the locations. The day ended with an outdoor radio gathering - Sango Malamu - where there were musicians and many servants of God. Yesterday reflected the vast work done throughout the region of Bandundu for the glory of God and the support of Israel and her people.

Siloam, Namibia – We were 7 souls together tonight. Want to let you know that God YHWH is faithful. Out of one heart and one voice we are seeking HIS countenance, calling upon HIS Name for the sake of the peace of Jerusalem, and looking for the NEW Jerusalem that is soon to descend from Heaven… the City on Mount Zion. Swakopmund, Namibia - AFM Filadelfia church joined other congregations both within this Southwest African country as well as abroad in the call for a Day of Prayer for Jerusalem. The members did this by means of spending a time of prayer for the people of Jerusalem, Israel as well as for the Jewish people worldwide. Dr Martin van Niekerk led the congregation in prayer and he specially focused on the spiritual needs of the present day Jewish people. The sermon was based on Jesus’ prophecy in Acts 1 verse 8 under the theme “The circle of evangelization”. Jesus’ disciples would be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Him. Their testimonies would go out in an ever widening circle. The starting point was indeed in the city of Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. The congregation was then called upon to each be a witness – equipped by God the Holy Spirit. We, in turn, could be called on occasion to witness to a Jewish friend coming our way and by doing so we are completing the circle of evangelization. The prayer focus of the day sensitized us all to pray for Jerusalem in the widest sense of the word. We are convinced that the members of this congregation will take this call to be included in their personal prayers during the week. May God reveal Himself in a wonderful way to the people of Israel.
Approximately 30 Churches from all over Namibia agreed to pray - we have about 40 towns in Namibia. We praise God for every person that was praying. We know that there were many that prayed - we received many cell phone calls - many that were outside the Church buildings, praying in their cars on the road, in rural areas, in houses, at old age homes, etc. We believe there could have been 10,000 believers praying in our country. Our population is approximately 2.2 million. Some Church leaders committed, but didn't want to send footage, which we respect. The overall attitude and response was positive - but many still need to acknowledge our Jewish roots. We are glad that we could partake of such a great event - calling up believers to pray for a mutual matter which really concerns us all as the body of Christ on earth."

) "We were grateful to be part of this wonderful opportunity, being reminded about God's desire for us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Our Pastor gave a short overview in explaining that there is the physical Jerusalem and then there is the spiritual Jerusalem. Bringing both together, Christians can understand the Kingdom of God more clearly as Abraham and the faith-giants had seen. We had a time of intersession for Israel as well as the global church.."

"Our church welcomed this great initiative and vision to pray for the city of Jerusalem. By His grace we will continue to pray for Israel. A brief sermon was given on the Biblical call for all Christians to pray for Israel and the blessings attached on the obedience to this call taken from Psalm 122. After the sermon, selected Bible passages were used to offer prayers. Finally we asked the blessing of the day upon the churches that received the materials and observed the day of prayer. The day of prayer was indeed a time of deep spiritual reflection which brought light on the church and all Christians to see the need to support Israel."

 Rwanda (2009)
"We received many teaching about the future glory of Israel the city of worship the Lord for the nation. Doctor Benjamin the principal of a Bible school was the main speaker. He explained all week how Jerusalem was established by king David. The example of those who worship the Lord, he established Jerusalem as a reference of the nations. He preached the verse of Psalm 137 to help us discover how Jerusalem was in the heart of Jews even if they were in captivity.
He took us in Romans 11 where Paul is talking about the restoration of Jerusalem and Israel. It is for our benefit to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the blessing of Israel. If we do so, it will come back to us.
The second teacher was Dr. Rame, Gasaro specialist in the Middle East. He asked a question, can we pray only for the peace of Jerusalem as a nation or do we have to pray to for other Israelites who are living in different nations? He explained how these people are in different nations. He told us how America is blessed. The reason is that in this nation there are so many Israelites living among them. Another reason this country prospers is because they use their effort to fight for the peace of Jerusalem. Dr. Gasaro encouraged the church to study the Hebrew language, to have special songs in Hebrew, and love to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. "We bless you Jerusalem, let your people live in peace!"

 Rwanda (2011)
We thank God for our DPPJ gatherings which stated on September 26th and ended on October 2nd and included 22 churches under my ministry. The Lord was very present with us. A preacher from Ethiopia taught us a lot about the meaning of having this time of prayer for Jerusalem, especially in this critical time for Israel when all countries are coming against her. We ended on October 2nd by celebrating and praying for the peace of Jerusalem, after the teaching of Doctor Rame Kasaro, who usually came to teach the church on this occasion. He explained why the church must pray for Jerusalem according to Rom 11. He said that Israel is the legitimate children of God, and that when they did not respond to Him God went into the street and found the Gentiles as street children and put us in His House on behalf of Israel. He said, by giving this example,” now what will happen if these street children are found like enemies, fighting His legitimate children. Would God join Himself with the enemies to fight against His legitimate children, or will He do His utmost to help His legitimate children? The church, he said, has to help God as He defends His legitimate children. The reason we have to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel all together as one church, is because by doing so, God will continue to bless us because of this action. Salvation was not our right; it was for Israel. We have salvation because they refused it. After this wonderful illustration, all in the church were crying together and praying with passion for Israel. Next year we will organize a big meeting as a training to explain to pastors and church leaders for 3 days the meaning of praying for the peace of Jerusalem. by Rev Bagirishya Enock - DPPJ Rwanda

"Hallelujah! Many, many Churches and Christian Organizations prayed for the peace of Jerusalem. We cried, travailed and fervently prayed for the peace of Jerusalem and its people. Not only Japanese Churches but also different Churches from different nations who are based in Japan.
The Churches that I contacted preached about Israel and prayed for the peace of Jerusalem on their Sunday services on Oct 5. Some Churches had committed to preach/teach their congregation about Israel and pray every 1st Sunday of the month. Those people (Churches/organizations) who have been praying for Israel are being blessed abundantly and and the LORD is transforming their lives.
Many people are encouraged to visit Israel to know more about the Holy Land and the situation of the Jewish community. More and more Japanese are becoming aware and concerned to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The LORD is opening their eyes and giving them understanding how important it is to pray for Israel and its people and love them. Because of DPPJ more people are getting aware of the importance of Israel and why we need to pray for them." -- Regional Coordinator

Then we went into a time of prayer for Israel." -- Regional Coordinator

 Philippines (2011)
The Day of Prayer was a festive historic event for all of us. It was the first time ever to be held in the Philippines. The presence of the Holy Spirit was so unmistakably strong from the beginning to the conclusion of the program, and many were moved to tears. DDPJ was observed simultaneously in different churches all over the Philippines from Ilocos Norte to Zamboanga City in Mindanao. Two of the largest churches in the country, Jesus ls Lord Church and Christ Commission Fellowship, which both have churches all over the country, held their own observance of the DPPJ with Hebrew worship and prayers for the peace of Jerusalem in all their services throughout the day. Notable also is the participation of the Assemblies of God churches and some of the churches of the Philippine Missionary Fellowship among many others. Josefina Brobio - Philippines DPPJ Coordinator

 Singapore (2009)
On Oct 4, around 120,000 people throughout 6 worship services prayed for the Peace of Jerusalem…
We are very grateful to the Lord for allowing us (One New Man Asia) to once again host the Day to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem in Singapore, this is our fifth year and we pray that God will continue to allow us to do this. Our vision has been to bring this prayer gathering to the different parts of our little island and this year we brought it to the East. We thank God for connecting us with Pastor Dan Foo, the pastor of Bethesda (Bedok-Tampines) Church, which has a large and very beautiful facility. Although we did not fill the 1000 seat auditorium we did get a good crowd of about 400 or so people.
For the second time the ambassador of Israel to Singapore attended the occasion, though this time it was a different ambassador from last year. Mrs. Amira Arnon recently took over the office from the previous ambassador. She was very glad to be with us and expressed her joy in knowing that there are so many Christians in Singapore who stand with Israel.
This year’s DPPJ came for us in Asia in the midst of great calamity, the earthquakes in Samoa, typhoons in the Philippines and earthquake in Indonesia, in which thousands lost their lives and property could not be ignored. So we began the meeting with a time of praying for these nations.
The worship was led by a team made up of musicians from different churches, which made it really a collective effort of the body of Christ in Singapore, with the limited time they had for practice, they did a fantastic job.
We limited ourselves to praying for six areas that night due to time constraints and because we wanted to give everyone a chance to participate. The people gathered in groups of 3s and 4s and prayed for each item for a few minutes, then a leader from a church in Singapore or ministry related to Israel would seal that prayer item. Among these leaders was Canon James Wong, a revered “father of the faith” in Singapore and ardent supporter of Israel, though he is getting on in years and has difficulty moving around he chose to join us, we were truly blessed by that.
We also had a surprise visit from Tom and Ronit Bender who serve on Mt. Carmel reaching out to the Druze villages there. It was special to have a messianic Jew among us as well.
At the end of the meeting everyone agreed that it was a special time and we are looking forward to next year and waiting to see which part of the island God will bring us to next.
Blessings to all of you at Eagles Wings from the “little red dot” called Singapore." -- Regional Coordinator

"At Way of the Cross Sanctuary- approximately 75 attended to Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. There was a tremendous response from the congregation for prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. I believe there were many new intercessors birthed and a greater awareness to pray for Israel. After the prayer time was over, the senior pastor was moved to change his prepared sermon and instead preached on the importance of standing for Israel and encouraged his congregation to continue to pray daily for the peace of Jerusalem." -- Regional Coordinator

"From Anglicans to Pentecostals and Brethren to Baptists, news kept filtering through to me of participation in the worldwide day of prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. Whilst not actively co-ordinating Australia this year, it was nevertheless a blessing to know that much was taking place through foundations built in earlier years.
As to my own congregation on the Gold Coast, the Day of Prayer was presented as part of the Genesis Missions Team. What an awesome evening! As the praises to the God of Israel arose with joyful singing and waving of flags, spiritual momentum rose to 'high' with the songs 'Shalom Jerusalem' and 'The Holy City' adding dimension to an evening which can only be described as exhilarating to the spirit!
In the lead-up to praying for the peace of Jerusalem, a brilliant message was given by Rev Fraser Harding on the Mystery of Jerusalem, Meaning of Jerusalem and Mandate to pray for this city. Then, as three of us led the congregation in prayer for the City of the Great King, particular emphasis was on the streets of Jerusalem as I pictured the many pilgrims walking the streets during this special season and who would be bringing hope to the people of Israel with their messages of love, support and prayerful desires for peace.
Closing the event with the singing of 'Blessed be the Lord God Almighty', hearts seemed to throb with praise and thanksgiving to the God of Israel. Indeed, it made me realise afresh just what a privilege it is to be part of this worldwide prayer initiative praying for the peace of Jerusalem and giving Him no rest until Jerusalem be established as a praise in all the earth!
Further north at Rochedale, their DPPJ function comprised a luncheon, Jewish dance, viewing of the 1967 reclamation of Jerusalem, and prayer for Jerusalem at tables of eight led by facilitators. As the co-coordinator there writes: 'It was such a wonderful thing to bless the Holy One of Israel and to pray for His chosen people.'" - Regional Coordinator

"2008 saw many emails written and many public announcements made on websites, bulletin boards, and radio stations across Australia. For the most part it was one way traffic, but it is encouraging that the word did filter out. A number of radio stations broadcast the official DPPJ community service announcements and accepted invitations for interview, as well as publishing details of the event on their websites."-- Promotional Coordinator for QLD Australia
"We had a great day at Rochedale Baptist Church with people from three other churches coming along as well. The shofar was wonderful ... It was a day of prayer and praise for Jerusalem ... of honouring the Holy one of Israel ... also came to the special luncheon and prayer time. It was a time of unity among those who love Israel and who love praying for Jerusalem." -- Rochedale Baptist Coordinator Australia
"On Sunday October 5th I was at an Anglican Cursillo gathering and asked to compile some of the prayers so included prayer for Jerusalem. We had people from all the Gold Coast Anglican Churches plus several Brisbane Churches, the Bishop of our area, and the Archbishop of Australia. So, we were blessed to be able to convey this message to so many churches." -- Gold Coast AC Coordinator, Australia

"There was a special anointing for the day. The prayer was strong and fiery. Our main focus was to pray for the shalom of Jerusalem which includes the salvation of the nation of Israel but there was also a strong urge to pray for the Knesset and we did. It was a wonderful time in intercession, proclaiming the prophetic word for Israel, and worship with banners depicting Jesus Saves, Jesus is Lord and Shalom Jerusalem."
SCRIPTURES:
Jer 31: 35 – 37 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves there of roar, The Lord of hosts is His Name.
If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.
Thus saith the Lord; if heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord." -- Regional Coordinator

Sunshine Coast
The Jubilee Dance Team ministered at two churches on the Sunshine Coast on the day of prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. Many people were blessed by the visual theme of ‘Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem’ which then led into a time of focused prayer. After the time of prayer and ministry we had people enquiring about why we were doing what we did and it was a blessing for me to be able to share with young and old alike my heart for God’s land and people.
Gold Coast
For the Helensvale Baptist Church, this year was seen as a breakthrough year! With no time restraints, I was able to share at both morning services the scriptures relating to Jerusalem followed by a wonderful time of prayer. And, for the first time, our pastor also participated and continued to maintain focus on God’s land and His people with his message on this day being from Romans 9-11 with such continuing on to next week as well. Much awesome praise!
South-East Queensland: Rochedale Baptist
We had a wonderful day. Both our church services started with the shofar, Baruch Haba and Holy, Holy Holy is the God of Israel. Our senior pastor, Paul Butler, prayed beautifully for the city of Jerusalem.
Afterwards we again had our Prayer and Share Lunch with 42 coming this time. People from six other churches also came along and one couple had heard about it from London! That one boggles the mind!
One of the highlights for me was that we had six of our youth and young adults come along – aged from 15-20. I showed the Gaza video again this year and the eyes of the two lads were glued to the screen as they listened and watched. I had them at my table so I did teaching in the midst of the prayer. Most didn’t have any idea how or why Israel is so important to God .. and so hated by the world. Three of them prayed beautifully during the prayer times. I praise God for this!
Overall, it was such a blessing to see so many come to this special gathering who love this nation. There were also others from our church who had never been to anything regarding Israel. So, it was a wonderful time. It was three hours of honouring YHWH, Yeshua, the city of Jerusalem and the nation of Israel. What a privilege and what a blessing it was! --DPPJ Coordinator

We had churches from all around the world participating in our DPPJ time of prayer. These included churches from Germany, New Zealand, Fiji, Darwin Queensland, Chaters Towers Queensland, Gympie Queensland, Katherine Queensland, West Australia, South Australia, Woy Woy N S W, as well as other Churches from the US, China and Singapore. About 1000 Facebook Friends were invited to participate, as well as 350 Members of the Pray for Israel Group. Also involved were about 300 ladies, which included many Prayer Home Cell groups. We know that many other unnamed prayer warriors joined us on October 2nd in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. God Bless Israel! Charmaine Eastgate – DPPJ Coordinator in Australia

 New South Wales (2007)
"What an honour and privilege it was to be part of such a tremendous and impacting prayer event around the globe which our Lord holds in His hands. What a wonderful day!
People started to arrive early at the Art Gallery. The teams on hand were well prepared and all were lovingly and warmly welcomed. As folks arrived, they were brought in to the sumptuous Kosher banquet, which awaited their arrival, where they mingled before the start of the Prayer afternoon.
Our Lord had gone before us in preparing the way & bringing in the people who attended. There was no way any man could have brought together the people who came from near and far. We walked naturally in the supernatural and followed and watched as God worked.
Under one roof from different churches Christians, Messianic Jews, Orthodox Jews and a Lebanese Pastor gathered in purpose and unity to pray to God for the Peace of Jerusalem according to His Word in Psalm 122:6.
The Rabbi and his wife from the local Synagogue came. It was an awesome moment as he opened the prayer meeting with the blowing of the Shofar, which was followed by a time of praise and worship.
Then the leaders from the different churches came to the front to lead all in attendance in prayer.
The Rabbi’s wife prayed first commencing with the Aaronic Blessing in both Hebrew and English.
Pastor Tom Inglis, from Sydney Life Church, hosted the afternoon & honoured the work of the Rabbi’s wife by taking up a collection in support of her work in gathering orphan Jewish children and bringing them back to their homeland of Israel.
The Prayer Pastor from SLC led in prayer followed by a young man from a local Anglican church, who prayed in both Hebrew & English as his Messianic family stood in support.
A Messianic Jew from within Sydney Life Church also led in a time of prayer.
The Lebanese Pastor and his wife had travelled from the Inner West of Sydney, where they have a church, to join with us in prayer. He had taken Psalm 122 verse 6 & put it to music and sang the scriptures as his prayer. This indeed was a remarkably strong moment during the prayer time.
The presence of the Lord was real and tangible, as was the unity amongst His body of believers.
The 'Mosman Art Gallery' is a very old building which has undergone many alterations and additions over the years.
The 'Grand Hall' is the original magnificent part of the Art Gallery. It also happens to be an old church complete with stained glass windows. Because it’s the local & well known Art Gallery, not one person balked at coming to pray in such a place.
God had beautifully and without fuss orchestrated that this prayer meeting, His prayer meeting, would be in a church!
There we stood in unity both Jew & Gentile (the one new man) before God praying to Him in a church!!
The 2 hours passed in the blink of an eye.
Everyone expressed their delight at having attended & all are looking forward to a much bigger gathering next year.
I praise God for all He has done, for all He is doing, and for all He is yet to do as He 'watches over His Word to perform it!'” -- New South Wales Coordinator

 New Zealand (2011)
We advised over 700 churches in New Zealand about this event. We believe churches did get involved to some extent and we know that a number of intercessors were emailed separately about the event and would have offered personal prayers for Jerusalem. At our own church in Wellington (which we believe to be the capital city furthest from Jerusalem), we had a special one-hour prayer time after the morning service. We used various scriptures that refer to Jerusalem as a basis for our prayer. Richard Brader – DPPJ Coordinator New Zealand

"We had an all-congregation (Faith Centre Christian Church, Darwin) DPPJ prayer time allocated before our Sunday meeting with our Israeli flag to the fore and with a display of the items our delegation was taking to distribute during the Jerusalem March. I spoke for a short while about the current situation and my husband's sermon referred to God's overall plan for the church and Israel. It was a very productive time which culminated in people giving towards our Israel missions project to sponsor youth members to be part of our 2008 delegation which travelled to Israel 8th October. Some of the team were able to sit under the ministry of Robert Stearns whilst in Jerusalem. "

"Reports are overwhelming...People are starting to see the importance of standing with the nation of Israel. To date I have confirmed four major gatherings and yet to confirm others in West New Britain. Our gathering that I was involved in had a very good turnout and was very colorful with the national Israeli flag and the Lion of Judah. We invited a pastor who has been going to Israel since 1998 to share the Word of God and to blow the shofar before the time of prayer. The emphasis was very much for the Peace of Jerusalem". -- Regional Coordinator

"At 2:00 pm PNG time and in Jerusalem it was 6:00 am when the prayer convocation session resumed with a gathering of about 200 people in my local church known as The Living Word Centre Papua New Guinea with the major people from Gilala Messianic Ministry from the Western Province in Papua New Guinea held the occasion to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem in the Nations Capital City, Port Moresby - that lasted for 4 hours before dark. The Gilala Ministry is made up of a tribe called The Gogodala Tribe in Western Province. Both the Gilala Ministry and The Living Word Centre came together on that day to pray together for the Shalom of Yerusalem. After the prayer sessions some pastors and local church leaders were identified to represent this event and the call to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem in their local churches and ministries. Also in the Highlands of PNG local churches that we are networking together also prayed on the 7th October, 2007." -- Regional Coordinator

 Solomon Islands (2011)
As the body of Christ around the globe gathered to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Christian friends from the Solomon Islands participated from the ends of the earth, praying for the Peace of Jerusalem. The event was hosted at Eden Prayer Centre in Honiara, the capital city of Solomon Islands. The meeting started with worship and was followed by a teaching on Israel by Dr. Rex Maukera – the organizer of the event- on the Abrahamic Covenant and the responsibility of The Church to stand with the nation of Israel. This was followed by the people responding with prayers of repentance, corporate prayer for the needs of Israeli people and leaders, proclamation prayer of Scripture, and the dissemination of two DPPJ teaching resources to bring more understanding to Christians. It was a remarkable event as God of Israel continues to remove the scales of the eyes of the Christians to know why standing with Israel is standing with God and values what God loves. South Australia (2011)
For the fourth year in a row, the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem was observed in South Australia with an evening celebration at River of Life Christian Ministries in Christie Downs, a suburb south of the capital city of Adelaide. The hosts were Pastors Ron and Anna Penney, but I organised the celebration and led the praise and worship segments as well as some of the prayer.
The evening was characterised by lively praise and worship, with many in the congregation dancing freely with flags (including the Israeli and Jerusalem flags) and tambourines to Messianic songs and traditional Jewish songs, such as “Shalu Shalom Yerushalayim” (“Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem”). We also included a segment where the congregation could get up to join in a couple of pre-choreographed Messianic dances, which were done to recordings of songs on the theme of Jerusalem and Israel. It was great to see most of the people there up dancing the “horah”!
There was prayer for Jerusalem and Israel, and for both the Jewish and Arab peoples, several times through the evening.
During one of the prayer times I felt God impress strongly upon my heart both the importance of what we were doing there that night, and that our cries to God on behalf of Jerusalem and Israel were being heard and would be answered, even though we were comparatively small. It is indeed a blessing and a privilege to be involved in the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem and to know that I am helping to make an impact for God’s nation and people, both in South Australia and around the world.

 South Australia (2011)
During the morning of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, I was able to give a short presentation at Heights Christian Church, which is my home church, on the importance of praying for Jerusalem. I then led the congregation in prayer. One of the scriptures I highlighted was Luke 13:34, where Jesus laments over Jerusalem and wishes to gather the people together as a hen gathers her chicks. I was delighted when that morning’s preacher unexpectedly continued with the theme by preaching on Jerusalem, and highlighted the equivalent scripture from Matthew 23:37! The church’s bulletin also had Psalm 122:6 on the front, with a star of David. I had not requested this, so I was very pleased to see DPPJ being so well supported by the leadership in my own church.- Heights Christian Church, South Australia

 South Australia (2011)
At this time, I am aware of around 21 churches or groups which prayed for Jerusalem in South Australia... This is the largest number… Of the 21 SA churches, 15 are “new” ones, i.e. they had not reported having prayed in previous years. If it can be assumed that all the churches which are known to have participated in previous years also prayed once again this year, then the total number of churches would increase to around 38. Even so, I am convinced that the number was actually considerably higher. At River of Life Ministries Celebration ,the evening was characterized by lively praise and worship, with many in the congregation dancing freely with flags (including the Israeli and Jerusalem flags) and tambourines to Messianic songs and traditional Jewish songs. We also included a segment where the congregation could get up to join in a couple of pre-choreographed Messianic dances, which were done to recordings of songs on the theme of Jerusalem and Israel. "In South Australia we marked the 2008 Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem by holding an evening celebration at River of Life Ministries in Christie Downs, a suburb of Adelaide. Ron and Anna, the pastors of this church, and many of their congregation, love Israel, so I knew this would be a good venue to host the celebration…the people who came were very enthusiastic and supportive and didn’t want to go home at the end!
I feel that the evening encouraged people to find a new depth of prayer for Jerusalem and for Israel, and that God spoke to several hearts about His plans for His chosen people. It was certainly a wonderful night, and my thanks and appreciation go to everyone who was involved." -- Regional Coordinator

 South Australia (2010)
For the third year running I was involved in an evening celebration to mark the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem which was held at River of Life Ministries in Christie Downs, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. The celebration included praise and worship, many songs - some traditional Hebrew- all focusing on Jerusalem and also incorporating Psalm 122:6 and Isaiah 62:6-7. The congregation was encouraged to dance and make use of flags, tambourines, etc. The prayers for Jerusalem and Israel were strong and anointed . The prayers moved some to tears, and there was a point later in the evening where we all fell silent, and then different people in the congregation began spontaneously to cry out in prophecy over Israel and in very heartfelt prayers. This unprogrammed work of the Spirit was so powerful! We blew shofars at various times throughout the evening, in particular , following each section of the prayers, to proclaim the fulfillment of God’s Word. At the first shofar blowing in the middle of the opening praise there was a powerful presence of God, and I felt to encourage them to continue blowing the shofars until there seemed to be a breakthrough.

"I was in two services on the Day, where prayer was offered for the peace of Jerusalem. In my own church the pastor focused on Psalm 122. At another service I led the prayer and gave as an introduction a short summary of God’s promises to Israel already fulfilled, and a short PowerPoint of shots from different parts of the country to demonstrate this. Then we prayed for some other promises including shalom for Israel. “Shalom Jerusalem” was also sung by the congregation." -- Regional Coordinator Western Australia

"The participation of Christians on the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem shows the love that each Christian from the Church has about Israel. This word is written in Isaiah 62:6-7. We must pray for Jerusalem. We must know that the Evil one is advancing while most of the Christians are standing. What are we doing? The Church must wake up and start to get loud. The only way to success is when we stay in agreement. Isaiah 66:10-14 'Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her.' This is the city God gave us for our capital. Not only the capital of Israel but of all nations. It is our responsibility to keep it. God bless all the participants in this prayer initiative and USA that helps for protection of Israel. Shai Geffen" -- Regional Coordinator

"Around 100 students, staff and guests were assembled in the hall of Glaubenszentrum on Sunday evening. After a welcome and vision casting with picture slides of Israel, our dancers performed with flags to the song “On your walls, oh Jerusalem, I have set watchmen.” We then went into a time of worship.
Two students, who had ministered in Israel for a few weeks this summer, spoke about recent experiences. Afterwards, we prayed for the following prayer requests and proclaimed God’s Word:
* Jerusalem, God’s chosen city (Zec. 8:1-3, Jer. 3:17), will be His city forever. Mentioned over 800 times in the Scriptures, it always refers to East Jerusalem, because the Western part didn’t exist back then. This points us to the spiritual battle over this place.
* For the Body of Messiah: unity (also with our Arab brethren), courage, boldness to preach the Gospel, protection, wisdom, strengthening and spiritual growth
* Outpouring of the Holy Spirit over orthodox Jews, soldiers, even now during Sukkot (Jer. 31:31-34)
* The Israeli government: specifically for Netanyahu and his Cabinet, protection, clarity, divine guidance and wisdom in all decisions, perseverance to not give in under the pressure of the nations.
Closing, we all stretched out our hands towards Jerusalem, blessed the city and prayed for a return of the Jewish people, especially those from the West.
We spent around two hours together and it was a precious experience to be praying this day united with millions of others, for God’s people and His Land, contending for His plans for Israel and the nations. It is a true privilege and we experienced again that we left feeling blessed.
Warm regards from your brothers and sisters at Glaubenszentrum! Our God reigns, the God of Israel!" -- Regional Coordinator

 Greece (2008)
"There was participation of several Pastors representing several Churches, even leaders of the community of believers in Athens of the international charismatic community of churches.
The prophetic focus of the day was the reconciliation between the Greek and Israeli flags, which we placed together at the pulpit and prayed for the 2 nations. That is something we had not done in the previous years. To understand the significance of it, one needs to know that Greece was the only nation in Europe, and one of the few in the world, that voted against the re-establishment of the nation of Israel in the United Nations." -- Regional Coordinator

"Many Christians from all over Norway joined DPPJ and all other Christians around the world that prayed for the Peace of Jerusalem on October 5th this year.
There was an advertisement in one of the largest Christian Newspaper (Dagen Magazinet) plus two other newspapers (Kors og Seier, and Evangelisten). I had a group of about 50 plus people that agreed to pray over the phone that day.
The Norwegian Christian TV, TV Vision Norge, contacted me because of my emails they had received and told me that they that night in their own live studio direct on the air would bring this prayer up and ask that all their viewers would join to pray together with them live on TV on October 5th. I saw this happen myself that night. They prayed for the Peace in Jerusalem.
I try to pray wherever I get a chance to speak also for Jerusalem. That way many might learn to remember to do the same I hope." -- Regional Coordinator

 Poland (2008)
"Like in the previous days, the service on the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem in "God's Church in Christ" in Warsaw was fully devoted to Israel. The congregation consisted of about 40 people. During the worship time we were singing songs proclaiming God's love to Israel. The preaching done by our brother was about the eternal covenant between God and His chosen people. I presented the internal and external situation of Israel and prepared a few issues for prayer. we were praying for:
A strong government in Israel which would be filled up with fear of God and would not give away the Israeli land. Pouring of the spirit of repentance, grace and supplication on the dwellers of Israel. Jews and Arabs, so that they were hungry for God and recognize the Messiah in Jesus. Abundant rains in winter so that Israel would go out of the present water crisis and frustrating the nuclear danger from Iran.
It's worth adding that about 30 people from our church, including our pastor, were that weened at a conference organized by Poland for Jesus Movement in Kalisz - the oldest Polish city. The conference was devoted to Poland and Israel. On Sunday about 1000 people prayed there for Israel and peace of Jerusalem. At the same time in a few dozen Polish cities, Christians were blessing Israel during their Sunday services and interceded for her before God according to Psalm 122. In Poland there are a lot of Christians loving Israel and praying for the chosen nation.” -- Regional Coordinator

The Pakistani Christian Church where these photos were taken, had an attendance of 150 people for DPPJ on October 3rd. A meal was served to all who participated in this event. The response by all the members was very animated. They are really supportive of Israel. Dr. Jailal - has ministry in Pakistan and has been teaching them a lot on the subject of Israel since he visited them in November 2009. Since last November he has been sending teaching modules every month to educate their pastors and all their members and other connections that they have.

A radio program was also done.
The British Virgin Islands was blessed to be a part of this very important worldwide grassroots prayer initiative in 2008. Next year we hope to spread the activities to the sister islands." -- Regional Coordinator

We started the meeting with the blowing of the Shofar (ram's horn) used in the old testament, as a remembrance of the children of Israel blowing the Shofar when they assembled together to pray to the God of Israel or for battle.
We continued with a couple of songs I composed to commemorate this event "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem" and "The Aaronic Benediction." The prayer focused on 4 important points that are required and relevant when praying for the peace of Jerusalem:
1. The restoration of Israel. (Amos 9:15, Joel 2)
2. That there will be no more division of the land of Israel, the promised land. (Isaiah 61:4)
3. The Jewish people will return to the land of Israel (Ezekiel 36:22-28)
4. The restoration of the Jewish people (Isaiah 45:17)
During some of the prayers, the people were asked to repeat the powerful statements in agreement and in unity, which is very effective in this type of corporate prayer.
At the end, we explained the purpose and significance of the Tallit (prayer shawl) which Jesus wore when He walked in Israel. We had the room decorated with the flag of Israel, the shofar and the Tallit.
We finished with a song I composed the music for, Revelation 5:12. Everybody was blessed and we felt the Anointing of the Holy Spirit throughout the meeting. Hallelujah!

Jubilee Church had about 500 people in attendance for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ) observance on Sunday, October 4. There were eight area churches who participated with Jubilee Church in this event. The major prayer themes were for salvation for Jews, Muslims, wisdom for gov. leaders.
Highlights at Jubilee included the observance of DPPJ with celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles. There were 3 Messianic Jews praying as well as a believing Palestinian. A Messianic Jew prayed a blessing over the nations. We set up a sukka, passed out cookies with a Jewish star on them at the end.
A worship & dance team from a local Messianic synagogue shared in the worship service as well as twelve Messianic believers and their Rabbi. Also had a A different young Messianic preacher share the word in the service. It was amazing! He shared that praying for the nations was an appropriate thing to be doing during the Feast of Tabernacles prophetically speaking in relation to Zech 14.
We are going to start a monthly "Fusion" gathering joining Jew and Gentile believers together for a Saturday evening meeting, Hebrew style, in a time of worship, fellowship and the young Jewish preacher available for discourse and preaching/teaching. - State Coordinator

“At my church, we had a time of prayer during both English and Japanese services. The event was so blessed and the Holy Spirit was leading the time of prayer! I first led the time of prayer, I encouraged the congregation to have time to pray individually, and the pastor of the church also prayed for the peace of Jerusalem.” Ms. Fuchino also shared on how a guest pastor spent several hours speaking about the history of Israel and the current situation in the Land, and many church members listened in. She further commented, “We did not know until this Sunday that the pastor came to know Jesus by examining the history of Israel that he saw how the prophecies spoken in the Old Testament have been fulfilled! Pastor shared his own story of how his heart was changed to pray for Israel. He paralleled the story of the prodigal son with that of the Jewish and Gentile peoples, with the younger son (the prodigal) as the Gentiles and the older brother as the Jewish people. The heart of the Father was for the sons to be reconciled and for the household to become “One” again. Pastor stressed the fact that there was something important about honoring what God has chosen, and we as the younger brothers have to respect and love our older brothers because they are the head After the sermon, we interceded for Israel and prayed for protection in the Land. It was an awesome sight to behold! – Elizabeth Wong DPPJ Coordinator for San Francisco

"On Saturday October 3rd, 2009 we gathered at Bayfair Baptist Church in Pickering to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and to pray for various church needs. Forty-five minutes of each of the three hours that we prayed were centered on DPPJ. We had approximately 30 people attend throughout the 3 hours. We separated the prayer time between each of the three hours by beginning with Israeli music and then this led us into 45 minutes of DPPJ prayer time and then 15 minutes for church needs.
A friend who is a Pastor from a nearby church joined us and brought an Israeli flag which we displayed across our communion table. Our friend also blew a shofar seven times near the end of the prayer time. It was a very special time for us and it is my prayer and also the prayer of others that this will become a regular part of our Saturday morning prayer meetings." - Regional Coordinator

The Day to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem on the York University campus consisted of approximately 30 students gathering to intercede for Jerusalem in the Scott Religious Centre. The prayer for Jerusalem was led by Israel Experience participant Josee Chiasson, who returned from that trip to Israel with fresh revelation and a new passion for the nation of Israel and it's inhabitants. When asked what he thought about the prayer event, one Christian student from York said, “ The thing I like most about the worship session is the fact that we used the Word to agree and pray on behalf of Israel...we prayed individually and agreed, united, as it relates to Israel.” He also went on to say that the importance of continued prayer for the peace of Israel was imparted through the passion in the hearts of the people leading the meeting. Josee states that this prayer effort will continue throughout the school year in conjunction with an educational series called Jerusalem 101, held twice a month in order to educate students about why Christians should stand with Israel and to equip them with the knowledge to effectively do so on their campus.-- Regional Coordinator

The response was good from the province as congregations planned their days to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem on October 3rd 2010.

"Immanuel Church Wilmington - The service began with the blowing of the shofar and the Shema, a processional of multigenerational flag led by the flag of Israel which preceded into a time of Hebraic dancing with adults and children. Mark Dayan from Beth Yeshua spoke to our congregation on why we pray for Israel...
...To stand in the gap
...To give birth to the purposes of God concerning Israel
...To undergird the work of God and the workers of God in Israel
...To release power to those who battle evil spirits in the heavenly places
Next he entered into the three prayer points initiating each one with 4 shofars from the four corners of the sanctuary blowing the appropriate sound for each point and some explanation of each.
We then transitioned into communion as Mark sang Kadosh. After the service we celebrated with two cakes, one with Israel's flag with 60 in the star and the other with Psalm 122:6 Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem on it." -- State Coordinator

"[After a long battle with his University to host a Day of Prayer event on campus, Justin finally won- only to show-up to a room empty of students who promised to show-up on Oct. 4th. Justin's passion for God and his love for Jerusalem did not keep him silent, though he was one voice in an empty concert hall... Here is Justin's thoughts on that day.] "Do not think that because you sit in the Kings palace that you are safe while all the other Jews perish for if you do not rescue us then a deliverer will arise from some other place and you and your fathers house will perish but Who knows that you have been called into the kingdom for such a time as this" (Esther4:13-14). I may be the only voice on campus but at least there is one voice, One voice is all it takes; sometimes one voice can cause change but on October 4th my one voice joined with many voice's all around the world to cause change concerning God's city Jerusalem. It was an honor to be apart of something that will cause the right change on behalf of God's city." - Justin Porter- Seminole State College of Florida

Our Church, Bridges of Light, spent about half of the service praying for Israel. Our time was first focused on prayer for Israel's neighbors - specifically Syria, Turkey and Saudi Arabia; we asked that the Spirit of God that lies within the generational seed on the land, would burst forth within the people. We prayed that their children would be visited in the night season through dreams and angelic visitations of God. We also prayed specifically regarding the terror plots against Israel - for protection against them and for confusion in the enemy's camp. We asked the Lord for intercessors to arise within our nation who would not only stand with Israel, but who would also cry out and speak out on her behalf, arising to a place that is true and just and right on behalf of Israel. -- State Coordinator

We were very surprised at the apathy towards the state of Israel in the churches and Christian organizations around campus. Nobody wanted to get involved because it meant taking a stance on an issue. Though we had a low turn out, this event has sparked a desire in us to research the Middle-east conflict, to better appreciate our connection to Israel through our faith and hopefully share this important message with those on our campus who have ears to hear -- DPPJ Campus Leader

We had our prayer meeting Sunday, Oct. 3 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Kingdom Prayer Room on Wheaton College’s campus. We had around 10-15 people at our prayer meeting and had one person leading worship on guitar. We prayed corporately, in small groups, and Korean style (all voices together) during the prayer meeting. We prayed for the church in Israel, for the Jewish people, and for the protection of the people. Scriptures were read during the prayer meeting, including but not limited to: Isaiah 62, Romans 11, and Ezekiel 37. We enjoyed fellowship with each other afterwards and received more of God’s heart for Israel by praying together. “I pray for the leaders of Israel and Palestine that their eyes may be opened to Christ because Christ is the only solution and source of true peace in the middle east.” --DPPJ Campus Leader, Lisa Hilde

"As peaceful and unbiased as a prayer rally is, a WSU student misinterpreted the prayer rally. He asked if Palestinians were included in the prayer and if praying for peace means that the Palestinians be stripped from the land. I told the student that the DPPJ is observed by millions of people around the globe and was created to pray for the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Obviously the Palestinians in habit Jerusalem, so they too would be included in the prayer... The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem - On Campus is an avenue for increasing the Christian understanding of Israel... This year the Day of Prayer was a an incredibly blessed day. Having a holocaust survivor speak and to hear her testimony was an amazing and touching experience. We had about 40 people, and every single one was touched by the service. I spoke on the importance of the day and how it was no accident we were all there for this special day. I also spoke regarding the history of the city, the land and God's chosen people, followed by the rise of anti-Semitism and how it is at an all time high. It was awesome, and we can not wait for next year's special service for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. - DPPJ Coordinator

) Igor Ashkinazzi gave a powerful message to those gathered for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. He shared his belief that Jerusalem was not the birthplace of three great religions – as many teach - but the birthplace of only one - Christianity. He pointed out that the Jewish people had come out from Sinai, while Islam came from Mecca; it was only in Jerusalem that Christianity was birthed, after Jesus's crucifixion. Pastor Healy facilitated the event but it was primarily prayer from 6:00 PM to just short of 9:00 PM Prayer was strong and impassioned. Some of our chiefest intercessors for Israel were actually in Israel on Oct 2 but others rose to the occasion. As they led out in prayer, it was clear that Holy Spirit was going to release the heart of God into our gathering and would do so through whomever, through any vessel. It was truly a powerful and blessed time of intercession for the peace of Jerusalem.

The entire service was about Israel. From the blowing of the shofars at the beginning to the closing benediction sung in Hebrew, every aspect of this service was Messianic/Jewish. The service was three hours long. Major Highlights include: The service began with the Hatikva and the blowing of two shofars, and the benediction from Numbers 6 sung in Hebrew. The hall was decorated with Israeli flags and other Jewish symbols. Members wore prayer shawls and kippahs. Most of the officiants were dressed in blue and white. The visitors and members who never experienced a DPPJ service were very blessed and gratefully expressed their appreciation for what we did on Sunday. The service was videotaped and my message will be aired on Bronxnet TV. -

Our entire service was about Jerusalem. From the blowing of the shofars at the beginning to the closing benediction sung in Hebrew, every aspect of this service was about Israel. Our main prayer points included the need for more watchmen to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for more believers who would stand up for Israel and speak out when necessary. Dr. Jailal gave a message titled “Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem!” and over 85 people attended, including one Muslim woman. The DPPJ prayer gathering was held in the NYU student center. I started off the event by providing everyone with a brief description of DPPJ and explained my personal experience in praying for Israel. After we went through the points and a bit of discussion, we broke off into pairs and prayed together. We split up the prayer points, so that, between us, all of the points were covered. It was a really powerful experience. I witnessed individuals who had never before been introduced to the idea of praying for the peace of Jerusalem take part in a meaningful, effective time of prayer. Most of the students who attended the event had not previously been educated on Christian support for Israel or the concept of prayer for Jerusalem. I believe that the event was successful in both educating them on the issues and, more importantly, stirring up an interest and conviction to participate.-- DPPJ Campus Leaders, Lydia Noone

Our DPPJ events began on Saturday evening, October 2nd, with a multi-church praise and worship service. During this service, a time was set aside for music and dance with a Jewish flavor, then I was invited to share about the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. It was a powerful time of Biblical witness, followed by a time of high praises sung to our Lord acknowledging the power and life in His Word, especially as it pertains to Israel.Sunday, a number of churches held special times of prayer for Israel during their worship services.Sunday evening, October 3rd, we held a city-wide prayer meeting at a downtown church...we prayed together for about three hours, interceding with song, worship and prayer. Some waved flags. The shofar was blown. The power of God's Spirit was upon the room all evening. We felt our prayers were heard in heaven.--DPPJ Coordinator

The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem was a wonderful time in which we gathered together to worship and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. In addition to praying through the prayer points listed, we prayed about other matters pertaining to Israel as the Lord led each person through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It was such a blessing to see people on the campus who really desire to agree with God's heart concerning His people that we will not give the Lord rest in intercession until He establishes His purposes in Jerusalem. The presence of the Lord was very tangible at the gathering and one Medical/PhD student blew the shofar during prayer too.

"I consider the DPPJ at UNC Chapel Hill a success for many reasons:
1. It was a very powerful time of prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. Declarations came forth from students and community leaders as we cried out for Jerusalem and her inhabitants.
2. We had prayer warriors for Jerusalem from the community join with us because they have been praying for Israel for many years and understand the importance. They supported and began praying for the event a couple of weeks before October 4th. We could sense God’s presence and the breakthrough taking place.
3. There was a great turnout for the DPPJ being held for the first time on campus. Even more significantly, these students are from different campus ministries, such as Every Nation Campus Ministries, Intervarsity, All Nations, Impact, Campus Crossroads and Champions for Christ (a Christian athletes’ ministry). These were Christian student leaders who are passionately seeking God and wanting to see revival on campus. Some of these ministries they are a part are majority Korean, African American and Caucasian. It was a blessing to see students at UNC who represent different nations unify in praying for Israel.
This event accomplished the DPPJ’s goals by not only praying for the peace of Jerusalem, but also raising awareness about current situations in Israel and the spread of Anti-Semitism. There were Christian student leaders who came to the on-campus DPPJ who were unaware of the threat of radical Islam to Israel, the Jewish people and even Christians. Now, these issues have been brought to the forefront of their mind by attending the DPPJ... The soil at UNC Chapel Hill is fertile as solid student leaders from diverse backgrounds and various areas of campus involvement are unifying to passionately seek God’s heart in prayer and alignment with His word. As seen from this year’s DPPJ, mobilization for the support of Israel is beginning to take place among Christian student leaders at UNC Chapel Hill." - Alisha Taber, UNC Chapel Hill Alumni & Israel Experience 09' Alumni

Abundant Life Assembly of God in Grove City, Ohio actually had about 100 people in attendance and they gave about 15 to 20 minutes to watching both portions of the DVD, reading scriptures and praying. They did log on and register their church. There was also a church in Alexandria, Ohio, which is very pro Israel. Faith Life in New Albany, Ohio has probably 600 to 700 who attend 3 services Saturday night and Sunday morning. They had prayer for Day to Pray prior to the regular service. I am conducting a life group at my home on Tuesday evenings to try to raise the awareness in the church and the neighborhood.
I am looking forward to hearing about all the other reports. - State Coordinator

Kayla Bramnick shares about Israel on campus, but also in her community: “For the last several weeks, I have been teaching a group of 20 kids from the ages of 7-15 about the history of the Jewish people. We discussed the stories of Abraham, Isaac & Ishmael, the holocaust, anti-Semitism, and terrorism. On DPPJ I brought in a world map. I showed them the map of the Middle East and Asia and asked them to find Israel. Their little faces were stunned when they compared the size of the Jewish State and the rest of the Muslim world. Before I had a chance to say another word my kids bombarded me with the one question, “What can we do about it?” A circle of little hands and knees formed as each child prayed asking God for peace in Israel.” - Kayla Bramnick Liberty University (online)

"The Catholic Mass prayed daily throughout the whole world includes prayer for Peace that passes all earthly understanding. Many Catholics also pray Psalm 122 (121) in our Divine Office Liturgy of the Hours Vespers (Evening Prayer) regularly in our Breviaries (official prayer books of our Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church) Verses 6, 7, 8 & 9 we pray world wide regularly: 'For the peace of Jerusalem pray: Peace be to your homes! May peace reign in your walls, in your palaces, peace!' For love of my brethren and friends I say: 'Peace upon you!' For love of the house of the Lord I will ask for your good. To which we add our heart felt sincere Amen! Amen! Gratefully in continual prayer for Peace in all our hearts." -- State Coordinat

The Sunday morning service at my local church, Our Father's House of NEPA had 108 in attendance. We had worship and prayer with Israel as the theme.
I received a call from Joshua Manarchuck, who has been in missions in Israel with support from the Peckville Assembly of God in Blakely, PA. They put together an area service of Worship and Prayer, using the 19 points of prayer we were sent. There were 150 in attendance. Joshua led the worship and orchestrated the prayer by giving the different points to chosen people to lead the prayer. -DPPJ Coordinator for NEPA

On Sunday evening we had our day of prayer gathering in a small 24 hour prayer chapel in the basement of one of the Messiah College campus apartments. I had prayed before our gathering that God would stir the hearts of these students towards Jerusalem and also towards a life of prayer. The Lord was truly present in our prayers and reading of scriptures. Out of the twenty or so students we had in attendance ranging from first-year to senior, there were representatives from our campus’s Middle Eastern Student’s Association, Black Student Union, and the Messiah College prayer team. We spent time together and in smaller groups praying for our Christian brothers and sisters in Jerusalem, the needs of people in the city, and also for some Messiah students who will be studying there in the coming year. As a result of this Day of Prayer for Jerusalem, I think the students on this campus were fulfilling a little of the mission of reconciliation that Messiah College teaches to us. In the end, I hope we as students are continually challenged to remember and pray for this city, Jerusalem. --DPPJ Campus Leader, Israel Experience '10 Alumni - Havilah Mendez

I had received about twenty "definite attending" responses from students and many more "maybes", but our meeting location was changed the night before, so there were fewer people in attendance than I expected; the prayer meeting however, was a success. I had prepared a prayer list from the prayer points DPPJ has provided. The students who were there to pray for Israel were passionate and interested in the well being of this nation and its people. Our meeting lasted around an hour; we went through the prayer points as a group, with different individuals leading out in prayer as they felt led; afterwards, we talked about what we knew about Israel and any interactions we have had with the Jewish people. "Knowing that our small prayer group on my college campus was combining in heart and mind to intercede for Israel with people all across the world encouraged us in that we were joining into something greater than ourselves. By praying for Jerusalem we are joining with the heart of God, aligning our prayers with his will for the land of Israel. We know that the Lord will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse it, and we want to be a blessing and be part of the blessing."--DPPJ Campus Leader, Amber Davis

We were honored to have Ella, a Holocaust survivor and her daughter Sylvia at our prayer/worship event. Sylvia spoke about showing the heart of love to the Jewish people. Rabbi Elliot Katz prayed with us and spoke and sang a rabbinic blessing upon all that gathered. There were 16 churches represented in this moderate crowd of about 100 people. Many church leaders participated in the prayer time. The climax to the evening was the unveiling of 13 amazing banners made by Stan from Living Word Church. It took him 10 years. They represent the 12 tribes of Israel. We then all danced in a procession around the room to the song “These are the days of Elijah.” It was great everyone participated in this awesome event. We honored Ella at the beginning and the end of the service. She made this statement to me when I first met her in September. “We, Jews and Gentiles, have to stick together and be in unity to pray for Israel.” Margaret Roxberry, --DPPJ Coordinator

I was very blessed to have been given 20-25 minutes to share at the DPPJ gathering. I created a power point and shared a simple but comprehensive outline of "Why" we need to be in prayer and partnership with Israel. My goal was to awaken an understanding that our Savior was "Jewish", that our Bibles are "Jewish", and that Jesus is active from Genesis to Revelation. The strategy that I felt the Lord gave me was to tell the story of my own "Journey to Zion" - how MY eyes had been opened to the truth. So while I was washing away the myths of our Western understanding of various key scriptures I was laying out the path that the Lord had taken me on to reveal to me what the Hebrew scriptures were really saying. I also enlisted the help of 9 people, to each take a prayer point, read the scripture and pray as they were led. In that group were the 2 pastors wives, daughter, a deacon, an elder and a group of our prayer warriors. I had let them pick their prayer point a week in advance so they could research it. They did a phenomenal job, it was awesome! Caroline Rubendall – DPPJ Coordinator

A handful of students met in Hostetter Chapel at Messiah College to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Gathered in a circle on the floor, the students sincerely prayed out-loud and read scriptures that related to Jerusalem and different aspects of healing and peace. ) On the DPPJ October 3rd, the 'Cool Kids' children's church class celebrated God's promise to Abraham with a Genesis 12 Bible lesson and fun crafts that illustrated its truths. They enthusiastically colored Israeli flags and made their very own watchmen on the wall by placing Gummi bears on top of marshmallow 'stones'. All the children (youngest aged three) understood how important it is to pray for God's chosen people and Promised Land-- DPPJ Coordinator

There was a prayer gathering held at a venue called the Channel. Many different congregations from across the city were represented at the gathering both in the attendees and in the leadership team. It was coordinated mainly by the Greenville House of Prayer and Crossroads Community Church. There was a brief introduction/exhortation regarding why we should pray for Israel/Jerusalem and how it is a Biblical mandate for ALL followers of Adonai. There was then about 2 hours of continuous worship and prayer (harp and bowl model) for Israel/Jerusalem with different prayer leaders praying for different topics. There was a lot of scriptural readings/prayers/proclamations as well as strategic intercession for issues concerning Israel/Jerusalem. There were about 35-40 people in attendance from all age groups. Overall this was a great success and people's hearts were awakened to and stirred for God's plans and purposes for the people and land of Israel. It was also a uniting force as there were people from various different congregations, races, ages, and nationalities represented. This was definitely a building block for greater awareness, support, and blessing of Israel/Jerusalem to come out of Greenville SC. - Curtis Carr SC Coordinator

“The service began with a musical power point presentation that featured the sites and sounds of Jerusalem. We shared excerpts from the booklet 'Why Stand With Israel Today', by Jack Hayford and had Jewish worship songs interspersed throughout. A united Prayer for The Peace of Jerusalem was offered. I believe this is the third year our congregation has participated with a Sunday morning service; and this year we actually had people wanting to do a traditional Jewish dance at the end of our time together. Olive Tree Connections , a church in Goodlettsville Tennessee, devoted their entire worship assembly on October 3rd to Israel. They worshipped to Israeli Messianic music, and the DPPJ Coordinator for Nashville - Gary Flamberg - shared the pulpit with the pastor, and together they discussed the biblical and historic significance of Israel to each and every believer. They also had a time of prophetic dance to the tune of a song calling forth Watchmen, and towards the end of the assembly, they joined in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. -Tennessee Coordinator

This was a year for breaking ground for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem in Nashville. There were some churches that participated who had never done so before. Among them were a local Messianic congregation and a local Hispanic congregation as well as several churches. As well, there were at least 2 large churches in Nashville who have participated in the past and did so again yesterday.
One of the highlights I am aware of is the joint worship assembly yesterday in Clarksville, TN (about an hour north of Nashville) with the local Messianic congregation coming together with a local church.
I am personally excited about three developments in particular:
1. My own congregation is committed to Israel, and there is opportunity in the days ahead to further disciple the members in their own understanding of Israel.
2. The enthusiastic reception we got from one of the local Hispanic pastors indicates an opportunity in that area. One of my goals for next year is to have a public bi-lingual prayer gathering on DPPJ.
3. Serving as coordinator this year did put me in touch with more local leaders who love Israel, laying a foundation for what I believe will be greater things in the coming years.

What a wonderful morning service we had at First Baptist Church Hohenwald,TN. We are building momentum in our congregation each year to support Israel and DPPJ. We are small in number, but so was Gideon and his valiant men! Our pastor showed a portion of the DPPJ promotional DVD followed by one of our members blowing the shofar and singing "For Zion's Sake". Our pastor then led the congregation in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. There were about 300 in attendance at our service Oct.4 th with an estimated 7 churches taking part in the DPPJ here in our small town of about 6000 people. I can only see an increase and expansion of participation supporting DPPJ in the future in our community. This report may seem insignificant next to the many more elaborate and involved DPPJ celebrations held in our country and other nations. However, it is huge progress for us!
It was indeed a blessing to host an hour of prayer last night and the 24-hour prayer line for DPPJ and I hope to be able to do so next year,Lord willing. -State Coordinator''

A night of prayer and worship over Jerusalem was held at Belmont Church in downtown Nashville Friday evening, September 30. It was an interactive gathering, with prayer leaders from around the city leading the congregation (in English and Spanish) in seasons of repentance followed by a calling forth of the church, the nations, and Israel to hear the word of the LORD. There were about 125 people in attendance, all of whom were actively and passionately engaged in intercession during the evening. Included with this: Olive Tree Connections featured Israeli music, a One New Man worship dance and prayer for Israel as part of Sunday service on Oct. 2nd. - Gary Flamberg Nashville-area coordinator

Gateway Church, Southlake, TX-Celebrated with an evening service with about 200 people. They mentioned that they would like to this again next year and grow this into a regular gathering for more people to come and pray for Jerusalem! The evening was led by Pastor Mary Jo Pierce and Messianic Rabbi/Pastor Geoffery Cohen. It was an anointed evening filled with a flow of prayer and worship on behalf of Jerusalem and the Jewish people. Virginia (2011)
We had 7 people in attendance, including myself. Three were from Victory Church, and the rest were from 2 other congregations in the Winchester area. Total number of congregations involved were 3. We gathered in a circle and just rotated around, praying out loud individually, and in the spirit when not praying out loud. It was very good, very spontaneous, very intimate. Those that were there were very excited about the opportunity to support and pray for Israel like this, as they hadn't had such an experience around here prior to this. We prayed continuously for about 90 minutes regarding salvation, political and economic situations, and then we talked about various things, Israel current events, and so on. There is some effort going on with those of us in attendance, plus several others who didn't come, to start some kind of Messianic prayer group, worship group, or something like that - short of a "congregation" - and this DPPJ meeting may turn out to be a catalyst in that direction. I had dinner today with one of the guys that was there at the DPPJ event, and we talked about that. He's in the process of starting a Messianic radio station and blog, and he's negotiating with his pastor to rent their sanctuary occasionally to hold meetings there.

"We have adopted an outside format for our state and city prayer time that is located by the Little Spokane River where we feel we are standing in neutral territory by a stream that eventually mixes with water from the sea so we join our prayers with those world wide. One of the highlights of the day was when our host Pastor, shared about a wave in the football stadium. He said when we pray here in Spokane, Washington, it is our time to stand with the wave that has already been in Israel and the east coast and now it is our turn. When we choose to join in the Day To Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem we are part of something much bigger than our church, our city, our state, or our even our country. We are part of a world-wide movement to stand with and pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. I know the world is changed each time we pray!" -- State Coordinator

 Brazil (2008)
"The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem in Brazil has grown beyond expectations. It seems to be easily catalyzed here. It’s amazing to see how this prayer initiative is permeating the Church, even in the midst of a huge plurality of denominations and beliefs.
Moreover, there are other Portuguese speaking countries, like Portugal, Mozambique, Angola, and Azores, that through the website in Portuguese (www.diadeoracao.org) are registering their churches/communities, standing with us and sending reports from their countries.
Also, we’ve been receiving registrations and reports from Portuguese speaking churches/communities in other countries, like United States, Africa, Italy and Japan, which are eagerly lifting their cry for the city of Jerusalem. The DPPJ was promoted in several different ways:
1. TV: the DPPJ promo video was broadcasted in about 6 TV channels, including 1 Jewish channel.
2. Official DPPJ website in Portuguese: 21,000 visitors watched the video and read the information.
3. Other websites: over 32 websites mentioning the DPPJ, with links, articles and interviews with the coordinators.
4. Emails: over 150,000 emails sent from our office. Not including forwarded emails.
5. Mailing: 500 mails were sent from our office, including printed flyers and information.
6. Magazines: 2 Christian magazines
I personally see that, through the DPPJ, we are educating Christians about our connection with Israel. Not a mystic connection, not looking under or looking over Jews, but understanding the time, knowing our role, and positioning ourselves in sobriety." -- Regional Coordinator

The Mexican church really responded this year on October 3rd for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. Dozens of churches and thousands of Mexicans prayed throughout the entire nation to stand with Jerusalem. All making the prophetic declaration, "The people of Mexico are with you O' precious city of Jerusalem." We were personally involved in the Curnavaca, Morelos Campaign where over 8,000 people, from over a dozen churches dedicated time, prayer and a message to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This was the most exciting and anointed day of prayer for Jerusalem we had ever been a part of. - Regional Coordinator

) It's really a joy to be a part of this God Project to save His own People. In this sense we were very happy to work for the DPPJ 2010 in PERU and with the leadership of Apostles Mario & Sara Coello.
October 3 in Peru was a special day also, because we have our mayors election in all the country. In this sense we motivate to pray in some churches October 2 and in other cases pray Sunday 3 in homes.
We also participated and enjoyed the live transmission through God TV with Rev.Stearns from Jerusalem and also shared the main parts of the co-chairmen messages in Spanish.
Finally we want to report that 4 congregations and 295 believers approximately participated in DPPJ PERU through our coordination from Lima.

"We had a lovely prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. As God would have it, our local radio station had chosen our church as the church to record the service that morning, so the service was broadcast over our local radio station that afternoon. I must say since that day, I have received blessings in my own personal life. My husband has returned home and giving his life to the Lord. He gave his life to the Lord at that same church where the prayer for Jerusalem was done. We were separated for 18 months. I am receiving my blessings from that day of prayer..." - Regional Coordinator
